asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the possibilities of importing tobacco from Greece and Bulgaria have been explored; and with what result.

Mr. Marquand

We are at present receiving from Greece 10 million lb. of tobacco bought on Government account in 1946 and manufacturers and merchants have every encouragement to import tobacco from these sources.
