Mr. Thornton-Kemsleyasked the Minister of Transport the scheduled times of departure from Aberdeen and arrival at King's Cross of the night train from Aberdeen at the present time and before the war, when a request stop at Stonehaven was included; how much time would have to be allowed for a request stop to pick up passengers at Stonehaven; and the average number of minutes this 13W train has arrived behind schedule at King's Cross over the latest convenient four-week period.
§ Mr. BarnesI am informed that before the war the night train left Aberdeen at 7.35 p.m. and arrived at King's Cross at 7.25 a.m. It now leaves at 6.45 p.m. and is due at 7.15 a.m. If a clear route were available a stop at Stonehaven would add five minutes to the journey time. The average late arrival for the four weeks ended 25th January was 65.3 minutes
