Marshallasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that disinfectant is being sold by stallholders and other retailers in bottles generally used by makers of soft drinks; and what steps he proposes to take to stop this dangerous practice.
§ Mr. EdeI have no evidence that disinfectants which are listed as poisons are being improperly sold. The question whether the sale of bleaching solutions and other substances which may be harmful to the public should be allowed, except in a special type of bottle, is being considered by the Poisons Board.
