§ Mr. Wilfred PalingSince the end of the war, one new rural telephone kiosk has been installed in Orkney and two in Shetland. In addition 17 internal call offices in rural areas in Orkney and six in Shetland have been replaced by kiosks. Applications have been received for the installation of kiosks on "Tercentenary" terms at the 90 places shown below. The184W provision of three of these kiosks is in hand, and the installation of the remainder, which involve heavy construction work, will be undertaken as supplies of material and labour permit.
