§ Mr. Webbasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that shortage of soda alkali threatens to cause production hold-ups in the woolcombing section of the wool textile industry; that the present allowance of 100 per cent. of the quantities bought last year is insufficient this year in view of the increased labour force; and whether, to keep all the available combs running, he will permit an allocation of 120 per cent. on last year.
