§ Mr. TomlinsonIt is not possible without an undue expenditure of time and labour to answer the Question in the form in which it is asked. During the session 1945–46 approximately 8,000 awards were made under the Further Education and Training Scheme to enable students to attend universities and university colleges. Since the beginning of the session 1946–47 a further 11,800 awards have been made.
