§ Mr. Byersasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the shortage of crockery in North Dorset; and what steps are being taken to improve production and distribution.
§ Sir S. CrippsI am aware that at the moment crockery is short nearly everywhere; but the manufacturers' fuel allocations were increased at the beginning of this month, and their supplies to the home market should now steadily pick up. I am satisfied that the arrangements made with the manufacturers ensure that supplies are distributed as widely as possible.
