§ Mr. Molsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether there have been any resignations from the police forces as a result of the compulsory amalgamations.
§ Mr. EdeThe only information I have on this point is that the chief constables of some of the non-county borough forces which were abolished by Section 1 of the Police Act, 1946, retired on 31st March last on the terms prescribed by the compensation regulations made under Section 11 of the Act.
