§ 38. Mr. Walker-Smithasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that 52W the 5.24 p.m. train from Liverpool Street to Broxbourne, Bishop's Stortford and stations beyond is habitually and grossly overcrowded; and whether he will take steps to improve the position.
§ Mr. BarnesI am informed that, on the average, 80–90 people are without seats when this train leaves Liverpool Street. Unfortunately, the train is made up to full carrying capacity and it is not possible to run a relief at present without detriment to even more heavily loaded branches.
