Mr. Hector Hughesasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the shortage of sheets and other household linen in the city of Aberdeen; and if he will increase the supply to that city and render it readily available by mitigating the difficulties created by the number of coupons required for these commodities.
§ Mr. BelcherAn investigation into the supply of sheets in Aberdeen has been undertaken recently, from which it appears that supplies are reasonable there in relation to other parts of the country. I have no special information about the supply of other household linen but have no reason to suppose that these are more scarce in Aberdeen than elsewhere. The answer to the second part of the Question is in the negative.
