13. Mr. H. D. Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what facilities he has made available to German Educational Reconstruction to assist them in collecting and despatching books, periodicals and educational equipment to German schools and colleges.
§ Mr. BevinArrangements have been made for the books, periodicals and educational equipment collected by "German Educational Reconstruction" to be despatched to Germany through the machinery of "Save Europe Now" which is permitted to use official shipping facilities. The goods are then distributed through a German organisation in Hamburg, which has the active support of both the British authorities and the German Land Ministers of Education.
