§ Brigadier Raynerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will now reconsider the case of Mr. B. Wellington of Moretonhampstead, Devon, 61W who was invalided out of the Metropolitan Police force in November, 1928, as a result of an accident said to be sustained in the course of duty, with a view to this man being granted a disability pension.
§ Mr. EdeThis case has been very fully considered, but there is no evidence to support the suggestion that Mr. Wellington's disability is attributable to an injury received in the execution of his duty as a police officer, and I have therefore no power to grant him a pension under the Police Pensions Act, 1921.
