§ Mr. Battleyasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the danger to the health of the community caused by the misuse of bombed sites, he will consider issuing instructions to local authorities to have these bombed sites fenced in, especially in crowded areas, and notice boards erected warning the public against depositing refuse on such sites.
§ Mr. BevanIn view of the shortage of labour and materials the issue of general instructions would not be justifiable, but I am prepared to consider individual cases on their merits. The erection of notice boards is a matter within the discretion of local authorities.
