§ Mr. StracheyThis year price control was imposed on strawberries at the same time as pre-emption of part of the crop for jam manufacture. It was pre-emption which reduced the amount available for the shops. I have already announced that 1947 is to be the last year of preemption and also of price control for this fruit.
