§ Mr. Piratinasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the General Nursing Council circularised hospital authorities in April urging that arrangements should be made for the resi- 68W dence of all student nurses within their training schools; and whether this is in accordance with the policy of his Department.
§ Mr. BevanI am sending the non. Member a copy of the General Nursing Council's circular, from which he will see that where student nurses cannot be accommodated in the training school and suitable accommodation outside is available, the Council do not object to student nurses being "non resident." This matter is one which is left by statute for decision by the General Nursing Council.
