§ Mr. IsaacsDraughtsmen employed on building work are, as a rule, persons who have commenced but not yet completed their professional architectural studies. In these circumstances it has not been considered appropriate to provide special training facilities for what is only an intermediate standard. Under the Further Education and Training Scheme 3,476 persons had received grants up to 30th June, 1947, to pursue their studies in architecture.
