§ 86. Mr. Lipsonasked the Minister of Health if, in view of the fact that the incomes of county district nursing associations have been considerably reduced by the passing of the National Health Services Act, he will incur financial responsibility for deficits that may accrue until they are taken over on 1st July, 1948.
§ Mr. BevanDistrict Nursing Associations are not being taken over compulsorily next July. Local health authorities will be able to make arrangements with such associations to provide services under Part III of the National Health, Service Act, in return for agreed payments. If the hon. Member has information that any association sees difficulty in carrying on until the appointed day, I shall be glad to consider it.
