§ Mr. IsaacsComplete information is not available, but under the Government's Vocational Training Scheme 27 training arrangements have been agreed with firms in the cotton industry, and it is known that many of the firms operate training schemes without Government financial assistance. Firms have also taken considerable advantage of the Ministry of Labour's scheme of Training Within Industry for Supervisors and with the assistance of the Cotton Board, some 5,000 workers in supervisory grades have received training with the object of improving their methods of instructing those engaged in learning new operations.
