§ 61. Mr. N. Macphersonasked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he has yet received the report of the Committee of Inquiry into the possibility of reopening the leadmines and exploiting other minerals in the Wanlockhead-Leadhills area; and whether he will make an announcement.
§ Mr. ShinwellNo. The possible development of minerals in the area in question is only one of many similar questions which the Committee have to consider in regard to other parts of the United Kingdom before they can submit their report, and I understand that in consequence the latter will not be available for some time.
