§ 79. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for War whether British soldiers who marry German girls are fully entitled to the same allowances as if they had married British girls; and whether he will consider granting allowances to British soldiers in respect of their illegitimate children by German girls both where there has been application to marry and otherwise where paternity has been admitted.
§ Mr. J. FreemanThe answer to the first part of the Question is "Yes." The answer to the second part of the Question is that I cannot consider any special concessions in respect of illegitimate children of German girls. The soldier can, of course, make a voluntary allotment from his pay in such cases.
