§ Miss WilkinsonThe average size of classes in primary and secondary (modern) schools, to which it is assumed that the Question relates, was 34.5 in January, 1946, the latest date for which figures are available. With regard to the second part of the Question, my plans for increasing the number of teachers provide for more than sufficient teachers for the extra age group.
