§ Mr. J. HyndYes, Sir, these sales are controlled by the British Element of the Control Commission. The cost to British personnel serving in Germany is £160 sterling, payable by cheque to the Control Office in London. The car is sold to those Germans only who can prove an essential need, the price being 5,000 marks payable in German currency to the retailer.
