Lewisasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury how often returns are made by customs officials to his Department of goods seized as forfeited on the grounds that they have been imported in contravention of the Customs Act; if he will specify the form upon which the returns are made; and how often his Department receives these reports.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallReturns of goods seized for contravention of the Customs Consolidation Act are made by the seizing officer to Customs Headquarters on the occasion of each seizure. In addition omnibus returns are made monthly and again annually I am sending my hon. Friend copies of the forms used in this connection.
§ 67. Mr. J. Lewisasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury on what basis invitations are called for tenders in the case of goods seized by the customs which are not subject to price regulation.
