HC Deb 27 February 1947 vol 433 c319W
64. Mr. G. Williams

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he will take action to speed up replies by Ministers to inquires received from hon. members.

Mr. Glenvil Hall

I cannot add to previous answers on the subject. I do not think any general directive is necessary, but I am sure that all Ministers will continue to impress on their Departments the need for answering letters from Members as speedily as the size of their staff and the volume of their correspondence permit.
