HC Deb 25 February 1947 vol 433 c262W
105. Mr. Symonds

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what German newspapers are available to German prisoners in this country; and if he will consider increasing the proportion of German, as compared with English, newspapers available to them.

Mr. J. Hynd

Last month about 10,500 copies of 130 different German newspapers were distributed. It is hoped to increase this number, but my ability to do so is limited by the acute paper shortage in Germany.
