HC Deb 25 February 1947 vol 433 cc268-9W
95. Mr. W. Fletcher

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the hardship being caused to young men through there being no Class B release to enable them to start or complete training for the law or chartered accountancy; and what steps he is taking to remedy this anomaly.

Mr. Isaacs

I regret that it is not possible to extend to these young men the special arrangements for the release of students which I announced on 4th February.

99. Colonel Hutchison

asked the Minister of Labour whether he has any further announcement to make in respect of the release of students serving in the Forces, so that they may be free to resume their studies in October, 1947.

Mr. Isaacs

I have nothing to add to the reply given to the hon. Member for Stockton-on-Tees (Mr. Chetwynd) on 4th February.
