HC Deb 25 February 1947 vol 433 c274W
111. Mr. Touche

asked the Minister of Supply whether in view of the industrial importance of iron castings and the interdependence of industry in the North and South of England, he will consider an immediate reopening of foundries in southern England.

Mr. Leonard

The majority of the foundries closed during the war have reopened, and permission to do so will be given to any others who seek it.
