asked the President of the Board of Trade the total value in sterling of the ladies' dresses recently imported from the U.S.A. and now on sale in this country.

No separate figures are available in respect of women's and girls' dresses, but the value of women's and girls' dresses and skirts imported from the United States during the last quarter of 1946 was £57495.
