HC Deb 25 February 1947 vol 433 c264W
Mr. York

asked the President of the Board of Trade what was the total value of exports of tractors and agricultural machinery during 1946 and also during January, 1947; and what proportion of total output do these figures represent.

Sir S. Cripps

The value of agricultural machinery (including tractors) exported from the United Kingdom was £6,800,000 in 1946 and £504,000 in January, 1947. Production figures are not available for these periods, but in the first nine months of 1946 production for export represented 24 per cent. of the total.
