§ Mr. BarnesRailway operations are most affected by shortage of experienced footplate staff and shunters. In addition to the normal machinery of recruit- 231W ment through the Ministry of Labour, an advertising campaign in the Press and on railway premises has been undertaken and information about employment on the railways is given to service personnel on demobilisation.
