§ Mr. Osborneasked the Minister of Labour if he is aware that women employed in the engineering and allied trades have increased by 354,000 since June, 1939, whereas those employed in wool, cotton, silk, hosiery and other textile trades have decreased by 159,000 in the same period; and, in view of the clothes shortages, what further steps are being taken to attract labour, particularly female labour, from metals to clothes industries.
