HC Deb 20 February 1947 vol 433 cc199-200W
61. Mrs. Nichol

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the fact that the cost of school exercise books and other paper used for purely educational purposes is now two-and-a-half times what it was in 1939, he will consider favourably the removal of the tax in his next Budget on this class of educational material.

Mr. Dalton
