§ Sir S. CrippsIt would be necessary to hold the Pilot Census of Distribution at a very early date if the results are to be collated and studied in time for a full census in respect of 1948. In view, however, of the difficulties of the economic situation, it has been decided that the Pilot Census will be postponed until next year. This will mean that the full census will be taken in respect of the year 1949.
