§ 118. Mr. Irvingasked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he is aware that the mail service to Forces in Hong Kong is now taking five weeks; and if he will expedite delivery.
§ Mr. BurkeUnder present arrangements letters for the Forces in Hong Kong are in general forwarded by air. The transmission time of the mails has recently averaged about 10 days. If my hon. Friend will let me have particulars of any letters which have taken five weeks, I will have the matter investigated. Surface mail necessarily takes considerably longer and five weeks is about the minimum time.
