§ 80 and 81. Sir J. Lucasasked the Minister of Supply (1) how many ex-Service diesel generators his Department now holds; and whether these have been offered to, or asked for by, the Ministry of Fuel and Power, with a view to relieving the present crisis;
(2) if he will release any portable diesel generators held by his Department, for immediate sale or hire, in order to assist industry in the present crisis; and if he will have any necessary repairs made as soon as possible.
§ Mr. WilmotMy Department holds about 1,000 sets of various types and sizes, from which sales are being made immediately. Users sponsored by the Board of Trade and the Ministry of Fuel and Power are being given special consideration. Where repairs are necessary, they will be carried out by the purchaser.
