HC Deb 17 February 1947 vol 433 c132W
101. Mr. Parker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that the Austrian Government have expressed their willingness to receive a number of Austrian Jews from Palestine who are anxious to be repatriated; and what steps he is taking to enable these people to return.

Mr. Mayhew

I am aware of this most welcome decision on the part of the Austrian Government. The repatriation of 323 victims of Nazi persecution is already being undertaken by U.N.R.R.A., to whom His Majesty's Government are prepared to give such co-operation as may be required.
