HC Deb 13 February 1947 vol 433 c77W
22. Mr. Philips Price

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that the erection of new factories in the Forest of Dean makes the sanctioning of a housing programme for industrial population a matter of urgency; that Circular 16/47 from his Department is causing concern to the local authorities; and whether he will give an assurance that housing programmes can be proceeded with at the utmost speed.

Mr. Bevan

The three local authorities concerned already have considerable housing schemes in hand. As regards the general position I would refer my hon. Friend to the White Paper on the Housing Programme for 1947.
