HC Deb 11 February 1947 vol 433 cc40-1W
78. Mr. S. Shephard

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that 1, 000,000 each of shirts, ties, sports jackets, flannel trousers and pyjamas are to be diverted from the home trade for the purpose of supplying Servicemen overseas, and that as a consequence, home market supplies will be insufficient to meet civilian requirements; and what action does he propose to take in the matter.

Mr. Belcher

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given to the hon. Members for Cheltenham (Mr. Lipson) and Ludlow (Lieut.-Colonel Corbett) on 28th January.
