HC Deb 10 February 1947 vol 433 c14W
83. Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

asked the Minister of Supply whether he is satisfied that there are sufficient stocks of lead at present in this country to enable plumbers to repair damage to private houses caused by the recent frosts; and what steps he is taking to ensure that stocks are available in all parts of the country.

Mr. Wilmot

The existing arrangements, under which the necessary materials to carry out urgent repairs to sanitary fittings can be obtained from local builders' merchants, who hold stocks, should meet the position.
