HC Deb 10 February 1947 vol 433 c13W
80. Brigadier Rayner

asked the Minister of Supply when the Central Electricity Board first pressed for the control of the production of domestic electricity equipment; how often this request was renewed; on what grounds it was rejected; and whether any restrictions are now being enforced on the production of these goods.

Mr. Wilmot

I have received no such request from the Central Electricity Board. Production of domestic electrical appliances is controlled by licence under the Electrical Appliances (Control of Manufature and Supply Order) 1942.
