§ 99 Mr. Gammansasked the Under-Secretary of State for Burma if he will 20W publish, in a White Paper or otherwise, the representations made to him and the views expressed by the representatives of the peoples who live in the frontier areas of Burma with regard to their future political status.
§ Mr. A. HendersonNo such representations have in fact been made direct to my noble Friend, though he has been informed of certain resolutions passed by a small number of representative bodies in the Frontier Areas. I am placing a copy of these in the Library. Special arrangements have been agreed upon under paragraph 8 of the conclusions of the recent London conversations for the purpose of ascertaining the views and wishes of the Frontier peoples and these will, I feel sure, be given due publicity when they are known.
