Macdonaldasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that local authorities are at the present time prevented from spending more than the produce of a rate of 1⅓d. on advertising the district as a health resort or watering-place; and whether, in view of the desirability of encouraging the tourist industry, he will make arrangements to increase this to a maximum of 3d.
§ Mr. BevanThe limit referred to is fixed by Statute, and I am afraid that I can hold out no prospect of amending legislation in the near future.
