§ 104. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what progress is being made in Zanzibar respecting educational and medical services and in the improvement of social conditions.
Mr. Creech JonesA ten-year development plan for the Protectorate, which is now being put into effect, provides for a considerable expansion of the educational, medical and agricultural services as well as a scheme of township reconstruction, and will, I am confident, effect a great improvement in social conditions.
