86. Mr. H. D. Hughesasked the Secretary of State for War the number and acreage of training areas in which joint user is proposed between different Army commands and between the Army and other services.
§ Mr. BellengerIt is not possible to forecast precisely the exact training programmes for use of many of these areas for years ahead, but it may be taken that the bulk of the areas are available for use, and will in all probability be used by more than one Command. As regards joint use by the other services as my right hon. Friend the Minister of Defence stated last Wednesday, a special body is looking into the matter.
§ 101. Mr. Watkinsasked the Secretary of State for War the approximate acreage of land which it is proposed to requisition or retain by his Department for operational use for battle training and for accommodation, respectively, in each of the counties in Wales.
§ Mr. BellengerI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to him on 28th January by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Town and Country Planning.
