§ Mr. WilmotSo far as research and development are concerned, an increasingly greater proportion of the existing resources, both of the industry and the Government, has been devoted to civil types during the past year, and a Civil Aircraft Research Committee of the Aeronautical Research Council has recently been formed. Experiment and research in the operation of civil aircraft are conducted by the corporations, who have organisations for this purpose.
