§ Mr. Donnerasked the Minister of Supply whether his attention has been drawn to the damage caused to the verge, kerbs, and cat's-eyes in the roads and to the white lines of a semi-permanent nature, as well as to the surface of the roads by tanks running from Chertsey to Stockbridge; and whether he will divert them to proper testing grounds.
§ Mr. G. R. StraussI am aware that minor damage is occasionally caused to this road by tanks. The use of this and other roads by tanks and tracked vehicles is at present being considered by a subcommittee of the Inter-Departmental Committee on Services Land Requirements.
