§ Commander Nobleasked the Minister of National Insurance whether he is aware that Mr. A. J. Daykin, Ref. 15486286, in spite of frequent applications to Blackpool, has not yet been paid the arrears of increased Old Age Pension due to him for the period 3rd October, 1946–27th March, 1947; and if he will look into this case as a matter of urgency.
§ Mr. SteeleThe arrears of pension due to Mr. Daykin were paid by means of a postal draft posted on 12th December, receipt of which has been confirmed.
§ Mr. Wilkesasked the Minister of National Insurance why the wife of Mr. Thomas Heseltine, 16, Penn Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne, who attained the age 443W of 65 in January, 1947, and whose Old Age Pension book is No. 04535630, has not yet received her Old Age Pension.
§ Mr. SteeleInquiries into this case are in hand and I will write to my hon. Friend as soon as possible.
