§ Mr. Shepherdasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware that Post Office and other staff remaining in Government employment beyond their normal retirement age, are not allowed to draw their full salaries and pensions; and if, in view of the need for encouraging effort, he will introduce legislation to amend Section 20 of the Superannuation Act of 1834.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallSuccessive Governments have seen no reason for seeking to amend the provisions of this Section, but the matter is at present again under consideration by the Civil Service National Whitley Council.
