HC Deb 15 December 1947 vol 445 c285W
106. Mr. Peter Freeman

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the temporary suspension of the Severn Bridge, he will authorise the adaptation of the Lydney—Berkeley Bridge to be made available for road traffic; and what the estimated cost would be.

Mr. Barnes

I am advised that adaptation would not be satisfactory for either road or rail traffic. The estimated cost is at least £60,000.
