§ Mr. EdeThough suitable probationary constables are employed on this duty in varying numbers from day to day no man is employed on it during his initial three months' recruits training. Every effort is made to post police at dangerous street and school traffic crossings but owing to the present shortage of police it is impossible to provide complete cover on every occasion.
